Fighters make sacrifices, whether it be countless hours at the gym, self-control with their diet or even crashing on their coach’s couch.

“I’m literally crashing on a beanbag couch right now in the corner of my coach’s house. I left my family and all my friends up in New Jersey,” Driver said, “but I love this sport so much and it’s worth the sacrifices.”
Driver came down to train at American Top Team, thinking she will only be in Coconut Creek for a two-month fight camp. After training under Muhammad Lawal, she decided to live and train permanently in South Florida.
“She told me her record and I told her ‘hey my goal is to get you to a winning record and get you to Bellator,’” Lawal said. “Right now, I’m trying to increase her fighting IQ. Win or lose, she’s gotten better and it’s something that we can keep building on.”

The New Jersey native will fight on the main card of Valor Fighting Challenge 66, taking place at Cotton Eyed Joe at 6 p.m. ET.
